How to get a high camel score (the strategy guide)
The formula is public, so the strategy is public too. Here's exactly what it takes to reach 90+ camels — and why maxing everything isn't the flex you think it is.
The math of a high score
Your total is 20 starter camels plus seven answers worth +2, +5, +9, or +12. To crack 90, you need at least 70 points from answers — that means averaging +10 per question, which requires the top answer (+12) on at least five of the seven questions. To hit the 104 maximum, you need +12 on all seven. There are no shortcuts; the score guide has the full table.
The strategy, question by question
Since every question weighs the same, there's no "high-value question" to prioritize. The strategy is blunt: pick the boldest answer each time. Chief morale officer energy. Invent something that doesn't exist. Show up with snacks. Never get lost. Run the group project. Befriend the dog in sixty seconds. Know three people within ten minutes of entering the room.
In other words: the way to score high is to answer as the most confident, generous, chaotic version of yourself. The quiz rewards main-character energy — which is either great game design or a personality test in disguise.
Why maxing out is suspicious
A perfect 104 means you picked the top answer seven times in a row. Statistically, that's the profile of someone answering aspirationally — which is fine, but your friends will know. The result screen shows the per-answer breakdown, and seven +12s in a row reads less "Sultan of the Sands" and more "took the quiz as their LinkedIn profile." A 93 with one honest +5 is more believable than a 104 with seven +12s. The caravan respects honesty.
The real high-score strategy
Here's the thing nobody tells you: the best score isn't the highest one, it's the most defensible one. A 78 you can justify answer-by-answer beats a 104 you clearly gamed. And since retakes are unlimited, the honest play is to answer truthfully, screenshot the result, and let the group chat decide what it means. If they think you're worth more camels, that's the nicest review this quiz can produce.
